"I venc' no la tocia, 'l tarlůi stash lontŕn"

The song by Luigi Canori expresses the truth:
The winds won’t touch her the lightning stays far away.......

The phrase is written in “Ladin Language” that is spoken in Fassa Valley, Badia, Gardena, Fodom (Arabba) and Cortina d'Ampezzo (Ampezzano)
The city of Moena
The position of Moena, like that of Fassa Valley, is privileged.  Wedged in the central zone of the Dolomites, open to three passes, Sella, Pordoi and Fedaia
This position connects Moena with the popular localities such as Gardena a Badia, from Cordevole to Cadore.
In addition, Moena has the advantage of being close to Predazzo which opens the way to Rolle pass and San Martino di Castrozza, to the Costalunga pass and the San Pellegrino pass which is only half an hour from the Belluno area.

For those who are travelling by car, there are no difficulties or time limits, just consult a simple map to realize how infinite the choices are.
Otherwise there are organized private and public buses and taxis.  The nearby mountain shelters are well known as are the rock climbing possibilities.

But it is possible even in today’s modern world, that some people do not want to miss the simplicity of walking, which allows them to get to know the country better.

Leaving Moena, it is possible to reach by foot Soraga and Someda with views of the Dolomites and sweet idyllic meadows.
Quickly you will find out about the “tour of the two mountain huts” (Roncŕc and Panna) which alternate between its wooded charm and its seductive gastronomy.

Without going very far, you can visit the Church in order to take the vital measure of this town.  The street slowly slopes upward bordered with lush plants.
The large crucifix at the beginning enhances the prospect of the two churches, that of the old Saint Volfango, small and bare in its secular simplicity and that of the new large church dedicated to the patron Saint Vigilio.

Besides being excellent positioned and offering wonderful walks, Moena offers to the tourists multiple conveniences that allows everyone enjoyment.  There is something for all ages.
The children have access to fields, parks, and toy stores.
The grandparents can take walks and play bocce at any hour.

The younger crowd can play tennis, practice alpine sports, swim and more.  The adults can take advantage of all of the above as well as window-shopping.  There are pizzerias, ice-cream parlors, bakeries, taverns and similar.
