Today skiing demands many long mapped out trails, the freedom of movement and fast ski lifts.  Moena met these demands intelligently setting up first class facilities, which do not harm nature.

Five-minutes walk from the center of town there are two ski lifts that serve the Sorte slopes.
These slopes are smooth and are without moguls, for those who wish to ski at an easy pass or for those who have just started this charming sport.

Meanwhile, skiing with longer trails starts at Alpe Lusia (a 5-minute car drive from the center of Moena). From this area, taking the ski lift it is possible to arrive in 3 minutes at Valbona (height 1814 m.). 
From here a second ski lift takes you to an altitude of 2200 m. (Le Cune).  Here there is an excellent panoramic view and the choices of trails are vast on the San Pellegino side and also on the Val Travignolo side.
If you choose the trail that returns to the cable car of Ronchi, where the first part starts, you descend from 2200 m. to 1360 m. on a slope with certain remarkable spots.  For this reason it is preferred by fast expert skiers.
For those who are interested in wonderful panoramas of the Dolomites, of spirals and rocky cathedrals, there is the San Pellegrino pass  2 km. distant from Moena (you can reach the pass on the national road that is always snow ploughed).

Whatever your destination you have available, 2 cable car lifts, 10 ski lifts,  which will allow you to get to your desired slope.
